Liliana is an Atlanta native who began her extensive advocacy during her time at Georgia State University.
Since then, she has worked and volunteered in over 24 countries, always bringing what she learned back home to Atlanta, where she has engaged in a range of advocacy work on housing justice, reproductive rights, homeless outreach, and LGBTQ+ issues. Liliana gained national attention (Huffington Post, Teen Vogue, Glamour) when she ran for Atlanta City Counsel in 2017, becoming the first out queer Muslim in the country to run for office.
Megan is from Norcross, and she began her advocacy work after finishing law school at Emory University and starting her career advocating for reproductive justice at a local nonprofit.
She loves to read policy briefs and think through solutions to the issues that plague us, but her favorite thing is sharing that information with other people. Megan frequently teaches workshops on policy advocacy, and through that work she has become adept at breaking down complex issues of law and policy into language that is both accessible and empowering. When she isn’t thinking about government, Megan enjoys spending her time reading, kickboxing, and learning languages.
